I have an indoor plant, that exhibits the same symptoms if you underwater or overwater it. So its impossible for me to determine which one is causing it trouble. The poor plant suffers...
Some online research may shed light on the right amount of water needed by this plant. What plant is it? Do you think the (lack of) humidity in air is affecting it?
so figures the reason for my bamboo plant both at work and at home going yellow was 'excess sunlight' now t hey r both hiding from the sun - :) maybe ur plant is getting a lot of sun in the day whiel you are away too?

i think you should keep it in your balcony for a while - let it breathe some fresh air - its not the water - its the IAQ
i dont think so. that plant survives very well in atriums and offices
yes but even there the key is circulating air- it will help the balcony door open for a while
